So now I'm in an Art College. It costed me an arm and a leg, but at least they're not the arm and leg I draw with. It's a different experience. I do have that much to say. I drew my first nude figure and that was revealing. -___-;
The staff and students of Ringling (that's where I go now) are, for the most part, really nice. There exceptions, of course. One such exception is my 3D Design teacher. I hope her and all of her wire explode. I hate skeletons made of wire and I hate working with wire now. But, enough of that. My drawing teacher is really nice (though I think she smokes pot before class) and helpful. I especially love my figure drawing class. It's so much fun to do gesture drawings. I'm slowly working more with charcoal than pencil. My drawings kept coming out too light with pencil, so no one could see much value.
Well, the one good thing about my college that's great is that it's in sunny Sarasota, FL! It's so warm and pretty and there are about a gajillion lizards. I love those little things. You see them everywhere around here. I always have 3 or so in the backyard just sunbathing. I also live about 15 minutes from the beach. It's soooo nice. The only problem is that I have too much homework, so I never to go out and explore my new city. ;-; Sometime during one of the breaks, I will have to go out and visit Disneyworld or something.
Oh, I almost forgot. My school gave all the students new Macbook pros. I really hate mine and I want my Windows 7 back, but I'm more appreciative of this laptop because I can use my tablet on it. That has made me super happy. And I get the whole CS5 package for free too as well as Corel Painter 11. I just wish I had more time to draw with them. So expect pictures in the future, but don't expect that many. I've been itching to start a new picture, since I do think I've gotten better this past year.
Well, back to class....yay(?)....
