SO.

My friend :iconpltnm06ghost:did this journal thing that he did from someone else, etc etc. Anyway, He featured me, so now I am going to feature him and others. So, the first 5 people to comment on this journal will be featured in the next journal and I will choose 3 of their pieces to represent them. Fun, right?

So, now you people have to get commenting if you want to be featured. But before you do, check out :iconpltnm06ghost: work!!

Art College

2 min read
So now I'm in an Art College. It costed me an arm and a leg, but at least they're not the arm and leg I draw with. It's a different experience. I do have that much to say. I drew my first nude figure and that was revealing. -___-;
The staff and students of Ringling (that's where I go now) are, for the most part, really nice. There exceptions, of course. One such exception is my 3D Design teacher. I hope her and all of her wire explode. I hate skeletons made of wire and I hate working with wire now. But, enough of that. My drawing teacher is really nice (though I think she smokes pot before class) and helpful. I especially love my figure drawing class. It's so much fun to do gesture drawings. I'm slowly working more with charcoal than pencil. My drawings kept coming out too light with pencil, so no one could see much value. :(

Well, the one good thing about my college that's great is that it's in sunny Sarasota, FL! It's so warm and pretty and there are about a gajillion lizards. I love those little things. You see them everywhere around here. I always have 3 or so in the backyard just sunbathing. I also live about 15 minutes from the beach. It's soooo nice. The only problem is that I have too much homework, so I never to go out and explore my new city. ;-; Sometime during one of the breaks, I will have to go out and visit Disneyworld or something.

Oh, I almost forgot. My school gave all the students new Macbook pros. I really hate mine and I want my Windows 7 back, but I'm more appreciative of this laptop because I can use my tablet on it. That has made me super happy. And I get the whole CS5 package for free too as well as Corel Painter 11. I just wish I had more time to draw with them. So expect pictures in the future, but don't expect that many. I've been itching to start a new picture, since I do think I've gotten better this past year.

Well, back to class....yay(?)....

So my appendix bursted as soon as I got back from Iowa. I thought it was food poisoning since my brother had a stomach ache too on that day. So I figured I'd toughen it out and get better. Next day, the pain was excruciating and I could even stand up to get in bed, so I figured the emergency room was in order.

I'm going to make a small picture journal of my adventures without an appendix so far. But before I get to all of that, I'm just going to skim over a few details. Such as my doctor is a major a--hole!! And I can't change him because he's the one that performed the surgery. I was alos in the hospital for over a week, in which the first few days I couldn't eat or drink anything but ice chips. I had piping coming out of several places (even some that I had not originally had) and they produce the worst and most uncomfortable feeling ever when removed. I got to leave the hospital, but I still have to see Doctor Satan every two weeks and I have been connected to a bag that contains my antibiotics. There's more I can add, but I'll leave it to my journals that will be coming up for others to reference to when their appendix bursts.

Even though I was miserable most of the time, it really wasn't too bad, at least not for me. I always had people to be in my hospital room to help me and I basically had a garden in the corner of the room from all of my friends and family. And the morphene helped too. Luckily, I'm recovering beautifully even if my stomach is still split open.

I've made a portfolio account at SamanthaGS that will be filled with all of my serious work, even the things that are not digitally made. So if you have the chance or you'd like to, take a peek at what I do outside of my computer. Don't be too harsh on my coloring skills and such. some of those are what I do in school.

So I have a new AC adapter for my laptop. Soooooooooooooooo, that means I can do more work. *w* SO I thought "Hey, this is all hunky dory now, right?". Wrong. Now my tablet feels like being a jerk. It shakes more than a naked guy in a blizzard. Sincerely, what is so wrong with things just going smooth after a while? I mean it, why?

So, now I have to wait for the company to send me a message back telling me how screwed I am. So let's all pray/hope/laugh at me so that I can fix the problem easily.
